Our 3rd Grade Team 
 
We are very excited to start the 2023-2024 year with this group! We are ready to learn about our students and work with their families to create a wonderful learning experience. This year, you can help support your child at home by checking planners daily for homework assignments and notes from us, checking and returning take home folders regularly, and ensuring that your child is reading each night for at least 20 minutes. Below, you can find a little information about us and the best way to contact each teacher.

Hi! I'm Melicia Brown and I will be teaching 3rd grade. I have a BS in Elementary Education along with a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford University. This year marks my eighth year as a teacher and I'm thrilled to be starting at Dale City. I can't wait to dive into the school year and make it a fantastic learning experience for my students. My name is Suzette Ferguson-Cole and I’m from the beautiful island of sunshine, wood and water “Jamaica”. This is my 9th year as a teacher but my 2nd  at Dale City Elementary. I am recently married with 3 beautiful children: Abigail 22 years old, Rushen 4 years old and Shenaya 2 months old. I am SUPER excited to be a part of this awesome team at Dale City Elementary. My name is Jillian Cruz and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade here at Dale City Elementary. This will be my ninth year in education and I am thrilled to be a party of this family. I have a Masters of Education from George Mason University and a Bachelors degree in elementary education. I love to spend time with my husband hiking in Shenandoah or playing with my cat, Athena.
